What Is Podiatry?

Podiatry is a medical specialty that focuses on the feet, ankles, and lower parts of the legs.

Patients are able to visit CHC’s Podiatrists, David Kosofsky, DPM and Fred Kaestel, DPM by scheduling an appointment through our medical department at 978-878-8100.

Dr. David Kosofsky

Dr. Kosofsky attended The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland Ohio and did his residency at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center in Massachusetts.   He was in private practice for 35 years in Nashua NH and also worked for St Joseph Hospital for the last 5 years in Nashua. He was elected "Top Doc" by his medical peers with New Hampshire Magazine for seven years.  He served as president of the New Hampshire Podiatric Medical Association for eight years and also was selected by governor Jeanne Shaheen of NH to serve on the Board of Registration in Podiatry for 10 years.

Dr. Frederick Kaestel

Dr. Kaestel attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.  He then completed his three year post graduate residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at LIJ Medical Center/ North Shore University Hospital in New York. Dr. Kaestel will be seeing patients at our South Gardner Community Health Center and is now accepting new patients.
