Gardner, MA – Community Health Connections (CHC), the only federally qualified health center serving North Central Massachusetts, has just purchased just over 13 acres of land in Gardner to build a new community health center location.
The new site will be located on Timpany Boulevard in Gardner and will include 20,000 square feet to provide much needed services to the community. Within this new location, CHC will be providing primary and family medical, dental, and behavioral health services. CHC will also be expanding its service options by introducing urgent care into this location.
“We are excited to begin building a new location in Gardner. Our community and staff have been letting us know what they need for some time now. We heard them and hope to fulfill many of those health needs and requests through this state-of-the-art facility,” stated John A. DeMalia, CHC’s President and CEO, “Adding urgent care into the many services we already provide, I hope shows the community that we are listening and that we are here to help everyone, every day, with as many health needs as we can.”
Construction is slated to begin later this year. The new building in Gardner will be fully ADA compliant and LEED certified. The facility will feature digital x-rays and ultrasound as well as energy efficient technologies like solar panels and LED adjustable lighting. CHC will continue to operate its current site in Gardner at 175 Connors Street during construction and will continue to do so when the new location is open due to demand for health care services in the community.
