FITCHBURG – Community Health Connections (CHC) is pleased to announce it has received $100,000 from The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts Activation Fund to establish a dental laboratory at its Fitchburg site, located at 326 Nichols Road.
By implementing an on-site dental laboratory, CHC plans to minimize waiting and repair times for patients needing dental prosthetics and reduce out-of-pocket costs for patients. Additionally, the lab will provide exposure for Mount Wachusett Community College Dental Assistant and Dental Hygiene Program students to dental prosthetics fabrication and fitting.
The in-house dental laboratory will supply prosthetics for all CHC dental services locations: Fitchburg Community Health Center; Greater Gardner Community Health Center; Leominster Community Health Center; and ACTION Community Health Center.
CHC looks forward to providing dental prosthetics in a more timely and less costly manner for its patients.
CHC is the federally-qualified health center serving the communities of North Central Massachusetts.
